Our History

In 1950, Leon and Flora Parkerson started their residential construction business. With success in the industry, in 1961 they then expanded to include heavy construction involving the infrastructure of numerous subdivisions in the Grand Valley along with the construction of St. Mary’s Hospital, Community Hospital, School District 51 and many other businesses in our community.

In 1982 the company became Parkerson Construction, Inc. and expanded again in 1985 with sand and gravel operations. We carry a full line of aggregate materials for driveways, residential and commercial construction sites.

In our 70+ year of operation, this family owned business has included four generations and 29 employees serving Western Colorado. Parkerson Construction continues to be involved with the expansions of St. Mary’s and Community Hospitals, Colorado Mesa University and many others.
